Church Services Online Only Until June 2020
Coronavirus Update – 4/29/20
I wanted to give you an update on the status of our services in light of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. I know that many states, including our own, are starting to lift some of the social distancing restrictions in an attempt to return to normal life or as close to normal life as can be had during these times.
As your pastor, nothing would delight me more than our gathering together on Sunday to worship as one family. However, even as the government starts lifting restrictions, the truth of the matter is that nothing has changed from 6 weeks ago. There is still a virus being spread of which there is no vaccine or no cure for and there is still a danger in spreading it, especially among large groups.
With this in mind, the deacons, after praying over the decision, met and have made the decision that we will continue to worship online only through the month of May and keep our campus closed out of an abundance of caution. This decision was affirmed by Governor Bill Lee with the official guidance from the State of Tennessee that large groups continue to refrain from gathering together.
We are constantly monitoring the situation and will make a decision beyond May later in the month. Until that time, however, we will still be streaming live services on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube as well as posting those videos and others on our website.
Our office is also opened Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
I love you and you continue to be my prayers and I ask that you continue to pray for all affected during these times.
Your Brother in Christ,
Pastor Phil
